The Venture Forum and Gold Sponsor Bowditch & Dewey, LLP, invite you to 3cross Brewing Company on October 18 to learn firsthand how beer and entrepreneurship are the perfect ingredients for the emerging craft brewing industry in Worcester! To generate operating income, brewers are managing multiple businesses and brands from one location, such as coffee shops in the morning and tap rooms in the evening. Join us and learn how these dual concepts and shared spaces are helping brewers launch successful new ventures in Worcester.

Featured speakers:

David Kushner
Remnant Brewing

David is a Suffolk University Law School graduate and co-founder of Remnant Brewing, a new brewery and taproom slated to open at Bow Market in Union Square, Somerville. His previous brewing positions include head of cellar operations of Lord Hobo Brewing Co., cellar and filter operator at Harpoon Brewery, and assistant brewer at John Harvard’s Brewery.

Dani Babineau
Redemption Rock Brewery
Dani is co-founder and CEO at Redemption Rock Brewery, a brewery-in-planning that hopes to open in early 2018 in Worcester, MA.  Her background is in construction management and architecture, or "creative problem solving".  Dani holds a B.S. in Architecture from Northeastern University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College.

Jen is a craft beer enthusiast and real estate and environmental attorney with Bowditch & Dewey. She is an active member of the firm’s Craft Brewery Group and blog,
“At the Bar With Bowditch” (craftbrewerylegalblog.com). The group offers the full suite of legal services to the industry, representing brewers in labor & employment issues, partnership agreements, financing, solar power, real estate leases and permitting, intellectual property, non-compete litigation, and representation before the ABCC, and more.

Ted Twinney
Start Line Brewing

Ted began Start Line Brewing with a simple vision: explore, learn, and expand in the craft brewing world. To perfect their craft (pun intended), he and the Start Line team attended Siebel Institute of Technology, aka “brewing school”, met with local suppliers, and shadowed other craft brewers. The brewery is located at Water Fresh Farm in Hopkinton, MA, which specializes in the hydroponic farming of their own local and natural products. Together, Ted and Water Fresh Farm established their own Hydroponic Hops project, which was the basis of the brewery.
